On A Cloud/I Would Move You
© Copyright 2003 by Steve Swan

People looking into shopping malls
In the crowded halls
They don't notice you
Everything that you were telling me
It's a mystery
But I know it's true

[Chorus]
On a cloud you know, you know
Everything looks right and then
Realize a dream, a dream

And if somebody can tell me why
They could only lie
They don't know the lines
Love is better when you keep it in
You could never win
Got to read the signs

People staring from their picture frame
Didn't learn the game
Don't know who they are
Every one of us is waiting here
And we disappear
Playing a guitar

You're always right, I'm always wrong
It's been this way for far too long
And if I couldn't see for your saving grace
I would move you

You always tried to set the tone
But now you've finished all alone
And when life doesn't hold back your memories
I would move you

You knew that time would help you grow
But now you've tried to stop the show
And when words cannot hide all your misery
I would move you
I would move you

My Only Love
© Copyright 2003 by Steve Swan

When I felt alone
Knew that she was there for me
Everytime I could find her love
Everytime she could make me free

[Chorus]
I know our love is stronger now
I know my only love

When I lost my mind
Knew that she was helping me
Everytime I could see her face
Bringing back all my sanity

[Chorus]
I know our love is stronger now
I know my only love
Things are changing for the better
Silver linings in the weather

When I fell behind
Knew that she was waiting there
Everytime I was miles away
She would pick me up somewhere

[Chorus]
I know our love is stronger now
I know my only love
Things are changing for the better
Silver linings in the weather

Mister Meyer
© Copyright 2002 by Steve Swan

Nearly a year to the day
Mister Meyer retired from the public eye
They said he was a spy
Suspended without pay

They all said he was an ordinary guy
It's so hard to believe I don't understand

Nearly a year to be sure
Mister Meyer expired from the undue strain
When he lost the campaign
Agents broke down the door

Nearly a year on the dot
Mister Meyer acquired what he thought he'd lost
When he got double-crossed
And he never forgot

Nearly a year to the day
Mister Meyer reacted in a natural way
When they took him away
And the judge had his say

They all said he was an ordinary guy
It's so hard to believe I don't understand why, ooh yeah

I'd Be Afraid
© Copyright 2002 by Steve Swan

I'd be afraid of losing you
I'd be afraid of feeling blue
And losing all the love I once had known
And losing all feelings that had grown

I'd be afraid of getting old
I'd be afraid of being cold
And losing all the things I once held true
And losing everything that once was new

Someday I'll find myself, and you will know
That I am really here
Someday I'll find myself, and put an end
To every fear

I'd be afraid of dying young
I'd be afraid of everyone
And losing all the happiness and peace
And losing all the opportunities

I'd be afraid of feeling low
I'd be afraid - nowhere to go
And now I find my love is not so strong
I wanna show you love but now you're gone

Depths
© Copyright 2001 by Steve Swan

The bodies and souls are all torn on the floor
I know I can't hide from this urge any more
Like wizards and spirits and hatred of lore

[Chorus]
Others like me who are no longer living
Fly on the earth and they fly in the air
Feeling the sorrow of life without living
Others like me who are no longer there

The darkness surrounds me I stand in the shroud
The evil I feel inside this dark cloud
The whispering evil begins to grow loud

Warmth all around me from hell in my veins
Feel the hate flowing and pick up the chains
Violence now fills all the depth of my pains

Leave No Sorrow
© Copyright 2003 by Steve Swan

Leave no sorrow in your path
No winter weather aftermath
Getting better by degrees
Returning your apartment keys
You are leaving me

I lost the open road
But now I've found it again
My life is always open
When I feel the pain

Leave no pain along the way
You're living through another day
Hold your feelings close inside
Remember how your love has died
You are leaving me

I lost the open road
But now I've found it again
My life is always open
When I need a friend

Leave no sorrow in your path
No winter weather aftermath
Getting better by degrees
Returning your apartment keys
You are leaving me
You are leaving me
